Product Description

Although 'Punjabi food' is very popular across India and you may have had all of these flavours before, do you know the stories behind them and how they were impacted by Partition? Over this dinner, we will bring the 1947 conflict to life in a way only food can do. With a family history steeped in the 1947 partition of Punjab, Chef Ragini has collected stories and recipes from across the province to celebrate the people, their stories and the incredible food from the region.

Punjab (panj-aab), the land of five rivers is now split between India and Pakistan, with both countries claiming a strong 'Punjabi' identity. Over the courses, we will eat through the different foods from Lahore, Amritsar and other parts of Punjab. We will explore Sikh, Hindu, Mughal, Muslim and other influences on what constitutes "Punjabi food", and shine a gastronomical lens on the impact of the 1947 partition.

After hosting dinners in London and Vancouver, this is the second Bordered dinner in Mumbai. Bordered dinners are experiential evenings that go well beyond the food on your plate.
